Sunfire Cinema Grand Signature 400-Seven 7 amp McIntosh look NO RESERVE! Up for sale is a real nice Sunfire amplifier from my collection signed by Bob Carver. This is the holy grail of Sunfire Amplifiers...the SIGNATURE model with upgraded gold connections on the back (not the cheaper red & black plastic ones) and of course signed by Bob himself on the front. This seven channel Cinema Grand Signature has the following stats:Power output: 400 watts continuous, per channel, into eight ohms, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with no more than 0.5% T.H.D. Power at clipping:800 watts per channel into four ohms. 1600 watts per channel into two ohms (time limited basis). This amp is a beast. It does not get hot at all. It can handle any speaker out there and our family used it at one time to power Carver Amazing ribbons speakers which are VERY power hungry. This amp never even blinked. At 17 inches wide it will also fit in any standard stereo cabinet. We purchased this in 2016 from a previous owner. He had it serviced in July of 2015 with refreshed caps, internals and LED light (see service paper pics). Externally the amp is an 8.5 out of 10 with three blemishes shown (circled in red) on the top side. The three red highlighted areas in the pics show the top REAR of the amp to have some very light surface scratches as well as two slight nicks that are hardly noticeable. Internally she is an 8 out of 10 with a slight static being heard occasionally from speakers when the amp is not playing sound (sitting idle). The original owner had the Joule Meter gauge incandescent light replaced with an LED light and a greenish blue McIntosh meter like hue. It is very cool looking and unique and blends well with McIntosh components. The front panel meter indicates the total energy available from the tracking downconverter power supply. It is calibrated in Joules and will normally indicate approximately 480 Joules for the Signature 400~seven. Dimensions and Weight:17.0 inches wide x 5.9 inches high (including feet) and 16.7 inches deep (to tips of connectors). Weight is 40 lbs. Finish is Brushed aluminum with a black anodized look. The AUTO/ON/OFF Switch of the Cinema Grand Amplifier is designed with an automatic on/off circuit. -In the AUTO-ON position, the amplifier will automatically turn on if an audio signal is present at any of the inputs, or if it receives a 12 VDC input voltage at the trigger inputs. The amplifier will automatically turnoff after a few seconds if the trigger voltage is removed, or after approximately 30 minutes in the absence of an audio signal. -In the ON position, the amplifier is always on, regardless of input signals or 12 VDC trigger. -In the OFF position, the amplifier is always off, regardless of input signals or 12 VDC trigger. Although the AUTO-ON signal sensing turn-on is adequate for most installations, the 12 VDC trigger inputs are offered as an optional way to turn on the amplifier. The terminal strip and both mini jacks are internally connected in parallel, allowing daisy chaining to turn on multiple amplifiers. The amp has both XLR (balanced) and RCA (unbalanced) inputs all functional. We are downsizing our system so this amp comes with the original power cord as well as a 19 page Manual.It does not have the original box but I will double box it.
