Pair of 15 Inch Tannoy Lancasters Boxed and Beautiful Containing classic Monitor Gold (LSU/HF/15/8) dual concentric drivers, it’s unlikely you’ll ever see another pair of these wonderful loudspeakers in this beautiful condition AND in their original Tannoy shipping cartons. Physical condition is as good as any we’ve seen (see close-up pictures). One very feint watermark on the top of each enclosure. The grille cloths are perfect, with no sagging, snags or splits, the woodwork is excellent, as are the Tannoy lightning badges. The rear panels were removed today for the first time since the day they were born. You can see that the serial numbers on each driver match the serial numbers stamped into the rear of the cabinets and written on the paper labels. It goes without saying that we have tested these and they sound exactly as they should - absolutely stunning with all types of music. Tannoy Lancaster Cabinets (for 15 inch Tannoy Monitor Gold drivers) – No Reserve. Baffles are cut for 15 inch Tannoy Monitor Gold. If youre looking for affordable cabinets for your 15 inch Tannoy Monitor Golds (or possibly HPDs), then these will be ideal. No drivers or crossovers, these are cabinets only. Each cabinet measures: 84cm high, 54cm wide, and 31cm deep. They are in tidy condition for their age. The wood veneer is generally in good condition. The veneer on the top of one of the cabinets has worn away (please see photos for overall condition). The replacement cloth on the baffles is in nice clean condition. There is a small run in the cloth on one of the baffles(see photo) but hardly noticeable. The cabinets are ‘Collection Only’ (I’m unable to deliver them, nor do I have the time or resources to wrap them up for a courier) BUT they are on auction with a 99p start and no reserve, so they will be selling all the way from the first bid… The boring bits: viewing by appointment can be made prior to auction end(we’re in Malvern, Worcestershire – WR14 postcode). They sound AMAZING.Cosmetic: overall: fair condition – hence price.Wood: some minor marks, largely in keeping with age, although the front-top edge of one unit has some small dents as per picture. There is a stain on the top of one ofthe units, again as per picture.Fabric: there is some damage following sustained attacks by the cat (sadly, one of them has to go). This can be seen in the pictures. It could be made less obvious with judicious trimming of the frayed threads.
