Cabinets are well preserved and apart from a few small marks they are in excellent condition with no damage or dents. The drivers are the legendary Tannoy Monitor Gold Type LSU/HF/15/8 - fully functional. This is an original factory matched pair. The serial numbers on the paper labels match the serial numbers on the drivers - and on the backs of the cabinets. Still original crossovers. The canvases are intact apart from a few small marks on a speaker(see photo 12), but completely negligible. Logos present. Pair of 15 Inch Tannoy Lancasters Boxed and Beautiful Containing classic Monitor Gold (LSU/HF/15/8) dual concentric drivers, it’s unlikely you’ll ever see another pair of these wonderful loudspeakers in this beautiful condition AND in their original Tannoy shipping cartons. Physical condition is as good as any we’ve seen (see close-up pictures). One very feint watermark on the top of each enclosure. The grille cloths are perfect, with no sagging, snags or splits, the woodwork is excellent, as are the Tannoy lightning badges. The rear panels were removed today for the first time since the day they were born. You can see that the serial numbers on each driver match the serial numbers stamped into the rear of the cabinets and written on the paper labels. For sale is single rare Tannoy 15 Dual Concentric speaker LSU/HF/15/L & crossover. This one has the desirable Black Label, which indicates is was made inbetween the Black Tannoy and the traditional Silver Tannoy run. Cosmetically, the speaker has considerable wear. There are dents and scratches on the metal, as can be see in the photos, and the label on the crossover is peeling. The photos show its true condition. Unfortunately, there is also a small tear, also pictured. Please refer to the pictures to observe the true condition of this item for yourself. This speaker and crossover were tested and sound great. It was assumed driver number 164450 was reconed at some point but have learned this not the case. The white outer ring, used for mounting purposes, is the only thing that differentiates 164450 and this ring looks to similar to the one used on Tannoy Black. The diaphragms are original and used in Silver and Red LSU/HF/15L dual concentric speakers. The Tannoy Lancaster cabinet serial numbers match the speaker driver serial numbers stamped on the side.
