As such many of the specifications for both playback and recording will exceed most home tape components. The build quality, rack mountable, motors and heads designed for hours of use beyond a home component are exceptional. Please look up specifications and reviews (old) but good. This is my original unit and has been in my stereo rack since purchased. There is little wear and tear and virtually none on the mechanical parts. It has been well maintained and always used in a quality system. I did use a 302 and a CD-RW900 as a recording engineer and quality sound and dependability are what made me purchase the same model(s) for home use.
