Technics RS-7500 US Elcaset Tape Recorder. This rare Technics Elcaset deck appears to be in working order in that it powers up and plays the cassette tapes (1 x LC 90 and 2 x LC 60) that go with it. However, we have no amplifier or speakers to verify. The deck comes with 3 Elcaset tapes and a dog eared manual. This item is about 40 years old, is not pristine but in reasonable condition for its age. It weighs 14 kg so buyer has to be able to collect from Hemel Hempstead, UK.

Condition report: Cosmetically, this player is in pretty good condition, but does have a few marks here and there. I have tried to highlight most of them, but just noticed there is a scratch through the Technics logo on the front, which you can see if you look closely at the pictures. generally though, its very presentable. In use: I have played some of these tapes. The unit is playing and fast forwarding strongly, but rewind is more problematic and needs attention. The unit plays tapes and Ive listened to one and it really sounds pretty good. The VU meters illuminate, but neither appears to be working, which is a shame and obviously needs attention. I can only get sound from one of the tapes, so it may be the others have been wiped. Summary: This unit will play tapes. However, the rewind function is not good and replacement belts seem like an obvious starting point for any work. The VU meters are also not currently working and there may of course be other work required.
