Der Technics SL-1200LTD ist wahrscheinlich jedem Technics-Fan ein Begriff. Es handelt sich um die Edel-Version des SL-1200M3D, die 1995 erschienen ist. Die Zarge ist in schwarzem Klavierlack ausgeführt und alle Metallteile sind 24K vergoldet. Weltweit wurden nur 10.000 Stück davon produziert! Die Verarbeitung dieses High-End-Teils kann mit den vielen Billig-Nachbauten in keiner Weise verglichen werden. Selbst die aktuelle Jubiläums-Edition SL-1200M7L kann hier nicht mithalten. Das Gehäuse besteht aus einem Oberteil aus massivem Alu-Druckguss und einer Gummi-Bodenwanne, die Vibrationen wirksam unterdrückt. Wie alle SL-1200/1210 verfügt auch der LTD über einen Quarz-Direktantrieb, bei der der Plattenteller selbst den Rotor des Motors bildet. Dadurch wird ein enorm hohes Drehmoment erreicht, das den Plattenteller innerhalb von 0,7 Sekunden (1/4 Umdrehung) von Stillstand auf 33 U/min bringt. Der Tonarm besitzt einen SME-Bajonettanschluss, ist kardanisch gelagert und höhenverstellbar. Dadurch kann praktisch jedes beliebige Tonabnehmersystem montiert werden. Das Gerät befindet sich in einem sehr guten Allgemeinzustand. Die Klavierlackzarge sieht noch top aus und hat nur minimale Gebrauchsspuren (fast neuwertig). Die originale, braun getönte Abdeckhaube ist ebenfalls in einem sehr guten Zustand und hat nur leichte, oberflächliche Kratzer vom Abstauben. Bei dem angebotenen Gerät handelt es sich um ein Japan-Modell, das durch Umbau des Netzteils für auf 230V umgerüstet wurde. Hierbei kamen ausschließlich originale Panasonic-Ersatzteile zum Einsatz. Ein Spannungskonverter ist zum Betrieb somit nicht erforderlich. Wie bei den regulären europäischen Modellen befindet sich ein Spannungswahlschalter unterhalb des Plattentellers.Das Gerät wurde fachmännisch gewartet und auf Funktion geprüft. Pair of Sub Counterweights for Technics SL1200 LTD gold plated turntable, 10.5g **UK based - Extra charges may apply for global shipping - Buyer to investigate charges applicable to your jurisdiction** I sold my gorgeous SL1200 LTD gold plated decks around 15 years ago without the sub counterweights as I couldnt locate them at the time. Ive recently uncovered them during a house move and so here they are for sale. These are original Technics items from the original series of SL1200 LTD turntables of the 1990s. Each weighs approximately 10.5g. One of them has a couple of marks in the plating on the hidden face. I believe this is a manufacturing artefact as I have seen this on other sub counterweights (but not all). I havent tried removing the mark as I dont want to risk removing any plating - as mentioned, its only on the hidden face. The other surfaces look fine with only a few hard-to-detect micro scratches. Photos show against a white cotton background and also a grey/black mottled fleece background for colour context. I believe these may fit any SL1200 / 1210 turntable, but obviously are colour coded to match the LTD editions (also Limited / GLD editions). However, the weight may be different due to different tonearm spec.

These unique models were released in a limited batch of only 5000 units worldwide by Technics in 1996. The items up for auction, with serial numbers 007 and 008, were originally from the Technics Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo, making them highly collectible and a rare find for serious audiophiles and collectors due to their distinctive serial numbers. Though there have been several gold special editions of the SL-1200 released over the years, this SL-1200 LTD, launched in 1996, is the very first of these gold commemorative versions. This model was specifically planned to mark the 25th anniversary of the original SL-1200 model, which was introduced in 1972.
