Auch deswegen, weil er so ganz anders konstruiert ist als normale Tonarme. Es gibt viele Testberichte, ein Interview mit Bill Firebaught und andere lesenswerte Artikel in der mitgelieferten Infomappe. Ausschließlich alle Tests bescheinigtem dem Well Tempered einen außergewöhnlich guten Klang.Trotzdem dass er so anders ist als konventionelle Tonarme lässt er sich dennoch einfach handhaben, wenn man sich etwas mit seiner Technik befasst hat. Dazu gibt es die Bedienungsanleitung, die ebenfalls in der Mappe enthalten ist. Der Zustand ist einwandfrei. Einige wenige Gebrauchsspuren findet man vor allem auf dem Anschlussterminal (s. Fotos) und auf der Headshell.Der mitgelieferte Fingerbügel ist nicht original, sondern stammt von einem Stax-Tonarm. Manche Eigner verwenden den Well ohne einen Fingerbügel, was durch die Konstruktion auch leicht geht. Die Tonarmstütze ist nicht original, lässt sich aber im Gegensatz zum Original in der Höhe verstellen. Der Well Tempered Reference kommt mit allen drei Gegengewichten und OHNE Öl in der Wanne, sonst lässt sich das Stück schlecht versenden! Herstellerseitig war ein Silikonöl mit 100.000 cps vorgesehen, das man für einen kleinen Eurobetrag bei Ebay oder in jedem Modellbauladen bekommt. Manche Eigner mischen auch oder verwenden dünneres oder dickeres Öl.Ich schätze, man braucht um die 15-20 ml. Zur Montage und Einstellung liegen die zwei originalen Schablonen bei. This was Well Tempered Labs top of the line turntable when it first came out. Since then, their product line has grown from three to twelve products currently. Which speaks volume on the success of their designs and products. The most interesting feature on this turntable, in our opinion, is their filament suspended tonearm that is viscous damped. It is such a delicate simple design that it stands out from the competition. You could immediately tell its lightweight design tonearm will not intrude in the signal transfer from the cartridge, through the wires inside and to the RCA jacks on the back. It is currently fitted with a Benz Ruby 3 MC cartridge which in itself retails for $3,000. No exact number on the cartridge hours but it works fine. But like all used cartridges, just have a new one handy in case you need to swap it out. The current pairing is deliciously rich and warm sounding. They really bring out the best in vinyl with an organic analog sound. Base plinth is a lot heavier than the Classic we also have for sale in another listing. So the platter is spinning on a much heavier and sturdier base which gives it a steadier turning spin. We dont have the original packaging and due to its open access of the silicone fluid, local pickup preferred. If shipping is required, silicone fluid will be drained into a container.
