The vacuum tube, as it currently stands, is unusable because the heater is not conducting.However, based on several characteristics listed below, it may be possible to repair and make this vacuum tube functional. Firstly, from an external perspective, there doesnt appear to be any visible damage to the heater wiring. Additionally, it seems that there is still an adequate amount of getter material present, suggesting that the vacuum is still maintained. From these observations, it can be concluded that the reason the heater in this vacuum tube is not conducting is likely due to a disconnect between the glass envelope and the pin base. In fact, the bonding between the glass envelope and the base is slightly loose. However, when I attempted to melt the solder on the pins to separate this part, it proved to be quite difficult, and I was afraid of damaging it if I forced it, so I decided to give up on the repair. If anyone with technical skills is willing to take on the challenge, please go ahead. Of course, there may be more serious issues beyond what I have observed, and it may be irreparable. As this is sold in its current condition, I cannot accept any returns or provide refunds, so please make your purchase carefully and considerately.

I have one Western Electric 274B Engraved Base tube. Looks very nice and was tested today on a calibrated TV-7D/U Tester. With minimum of 40/40 it tested 52/48, The tube has a tight base and there is no rattle. Excellent tube. $9.75 shipping in the US.
