Wharfedale S-990 CD Player - Turns On - Faulty - Parts Or Not Working. This all turns on but unfortunately this is faulty. As you can see in photos the power light comes on but that’s it. There is nothing on the display and none of the buttons seem to work. I have not looked into this at all. This could be a easy fix for someone in the know or it could be completely broken. For its age, I would class this woofer as being in a good condition, but there are marks, scuffs, scratches, some tarnishing to the metal and signs of wear/use. The main thing to mention is that the rubber woofer surround has come away from the metal around it and whilst the woofer still works fine, and sound fine, this will need sorting by the new owner before use. Ive included loads of pictures, from all angles, so please check out all the pictures as these make up a large part of the description and show the condition well. This was removed from a Wharfedale E70 speaker, but I believe this was also fitted to the E50 and E90 though if in doubt, please check before purchase. It is working but, as can be seen in the pictures, the outer rubber has come away from the metal surround in places and this will need glueing back in place before use as, although it actually sounded ok (no scraping etc) as it was, this will clearly impact the sound quality and usability too. For the year 1963, this magazine opted to make their pages larger than any other year. They would not be able to fit in the larger standard manila envelope used for shipping so we have carefully trimmed each edge. Safely packed, we do include a stiff cardboard insert, the insert and ad wrapped with saran wrap and a Please Do Not Bend sticker on the envelope to help preserve the integrity of the ad.
