Excellently working Systemdek IIX turntable, with Linn Basic Plus LV X tonearm. The motor was replaced about 10 years ago, but the TT has been unused since that time. This comes with 2 platters! The original glass platter, and a far better platter made from acrylic, and thicker than the stock platter. The acrylic platter removes some of the splashiness in the upper mids, that glass platters are known for. The Linn tonearm is in great condition, and the bearings are tight, with no play. There are minor scratches, which could easily be repainted. Includes the cover, but it has a piece broken off from the back. Let me add, that the foam wedge dampers in the springs are fairly old, and should be replaced. This is an extremely easy and cheap process, and any good audio forum should have members that can help. Systemdek IIX Turntable with ADC ALT-1 arm, Pickering XV15 625E Cartridge as fitted from new, purchased by me from new in the early 90s. Glass platter and belt included (but probably need to get a new belt due to age). Not used for about 15 years but stored in a dry cupboard, just plugged it in and all seems to work fine. Probably needs a bit of a minor service/oil/needle to get the best sound out of it again. In excellent overall condition apart from the lid which has some minor scratches commensurate with age but does have a damaged patch where the plastic has melted a bit when I tried to remove some scratching. Looks worse in the pictures than in real life. Collection only from York.

The belt holds well in both speeds. This unit has the original tonearm and cartridge, with an Ortofon superOM 30 stylus. The wood is in excellent condition. The dust cover is in good condition- in one peice, without cracks in the top, only surface scratches, and the hinges move freely without obstruction. The lifter, balancing weight, and anti-skating dial are all fully operational, and the record player is fully functional Despite what the listing says ( No Returns) We WILL allow return after a 2 day approval period. It has a new bearing fitted for the platter and I will lift the platter for transport to save the bearing getting damaged.
