This sale is for a working AUX-7 program board that is supplied with 3 IC chips. We overlooked testing the AUX-7 prior to removal to confirm the frequencies on the chip modules, but suspect that cover the 500, 1000, and 1500 KHz ranges so to include the AM broadcast band and 160 meter band. This is what is commonly found on the AUX-7 board if only 3 modules are installed, but we cannot guarantee this to be the case so ask you to consider this if such is important to you. The AUX-7 is supplied with the a copy of the Drake AUX7 manual. Those of you who have spent some time with either the TR-7 or the R-7 know that you select a band range with the selector switch to tune. If the 500 KHz band is not correct for your needs within the range, you must continually push the up or down buttons to reach the proper range. This AUX-7 board allows you to insert a chip into the socket that enables you to quickly tune to the proper frequency range. There are 8 ranges on the front panel of the TR-7 that match the socket ranges in the AUX-7. This is particularly advantageous with the TR-7 as you can then also tune below 1.5 MHz in the longwave and AM broadcast bands which you cannot do with the standard factory set range of tuning on the TR-7. In addition, you can set the ranges to tune new 5 MHz band or the WARC bands on 10, 18, & 24 MHz. At one time, you could easily purchase these DIP IC units and install them. On occasion, we still see these ICs sold as packages.
