Nice Kenwood KR-4400 receiver. Fully tested: here’s what’s going on. Powers up but relay wouldn’t kick in. Removed top and bottom cover and did full deox cleaning, still no relay click. Then I tapped on relay cover and it kicked in, repeated, several times. Ran the unit three times for a few hours each time. Sounded wonderful, not scratchy and lots of rich warm power. Then I drilled a tiny hole in relay cover by the edge and squirted a bit of deoxit into the relay. Let it sit for a day the tried to power up and lights up but no relay click. Tapped again and now nothing. So with all that said it’s being sold as is for repair. Includes original manual and schematics Otherwise a beautiful unit that just needs a relay. Unit will be carefully packed to ensure a safe arrival.
