The HESTIA is Denafrips entry level fully balanced Class A biased preamplifier. Equipped with a discrete relay based, 60 step volume control, coupled with a current drive Darlington array network and precision matched resistors, the preamplifier achieves near perfect channel balance, incredibly low distortion and incredibly low noise (0.000230%). Overall condition as a preamp is very good. Cosmetically there are numerous fine scratches on the top of the chassis. They are not visible on the pictures. New, this unit goes for $1079. Up for sale is a used Denafrips Ares ii dac i purchased from ebay about two months back. The unit came to me with a small imperfections one on the front panel and one stripped screw that i will place electrical tape over so it is easily identifiable. because of these imperfections im rating this dac a C+ cosmetically but an (A) for functionality and sound quality. Please study the pictures and understand the Dac is not perfect but works as intended.
