Barely used Ares II purchased directly from vinshine audio in 7/21. This DAC was in my 2nd system and barely used (maybe 2-3 months?). This is because I liked the sound so much I purchased a Pontus II and then a Terminator. So the Ares II has been sitting in a box in my closet for quite awhile. Hello. This auction includes the Denafrips Artemis pictured on the bottom of the picture and NOT the topping DAC pictured above. I did not want to disconnect this unit because I am actively using it daily. This is a **VERY** clear and clean powered fully balanced headphone amplifier from Denafrips. Until I built my own custom tube amplifier this is the clearest headphone sound I have ever heard. It trumps every other solid state head amp I have seen or heard. I use it for my Sennheiser HD800s with a balanced cable. The balanced mode offers an extra level of clarity and air that the TRS connection just doesnt provide. The volume gets pretty loud although not ear blasting. Its something like 600mV which should be loud enough unless you want to go deaf. We have been using my Senns for SPEAKERS in our small apartment unit because they get that loud. I am the original owner and I purchased this from Alvin at Vinshine Audio. FREE SHIPPING!

You are probably already familiar with this DAC if you are viewing this listing. This unit was ordered by me in February, 2022. It was used in my office for computer audio, I am downsizing this system and moving to a physically smaller DAC to save desktop space. The unit has performed flawlessly. It will be shipped in all original packaging. Ive included the power cord I was using as Denafrips does not include one of these when you buy it from them. There is a firmware update available from Denafrips but this unit has not been updated. The firmware update is free of charge and instructions can be found on the Denafrips website if you would choose to update the firmware.
