For Sale is this lovely 70/80s Akai GX-4000D. Serial Number: 80750-16197 It is in excellent and fully working order having recently been serviced prior to sale. All the internal belts have been replaced, capstan motor cleaned and oiled, old grease has been removed from moving parts and re-lubricated, the record/play heads have been demagnetised and a brand-new motor run capacitor has been fitted.The old reel table felt has been fully replaced, so you can be sure that it rewinds, fast forwards and plays perfectly. It has also been fitted with a brand-new freshly manufactured pinch roller. Record and playback all sound outstanding! The old VU meter bulbs have been upgraded with brand new Ice Blue LEDs giving it a new and unique modern lease of life, while still maintaining its original vintage characteristics. Please note: that the LEDs look brighter than they actually are due to my phones automatic Brightness and White Balance. The outer casing and front fascia are both in excellent condition showing minimal signs of previous use. An absolutely beautiful machine!
